The $500, $1,000, $5,000 & $10,000 1928 Green Seal Series bills were the largest federal reserve notes ever released to the American public until 1969, but the public rarely ever saw them because they were used exclusively
for bank transfers and other large transactions, these bills were never really intended for public circulation!
A larger 1934 $100,000 Gold Seal Series bill featuring President Woodrow Wilson did exist, but it was never publicly circulated and was used exclusively in transactions between federal banks until the 1960s.
Since it was never released to the public, the $100,000 bill cannot legally be owned by collectors!
